1. 요약

23회 시상식은 1951년 3월 29일 할리우드 RKO Pantages Theatre에서 열렸다. Fred Astaire가 진행을 맡았다. All About Eve(이브의 모든 것)이 14개 부문에 노미네이트되어 작품상을 포함해 총 6개 부문을 수상했다. 참고로 이전에 가장 많이 후보에 오른 작품은 ‘바람과 함께 사라지다’로 13개 부문에 후보로 올랐었다. 그리고 All About Eve을 감독한 Joseph L. Mankiewicz이 2년 연속 감독상을 수상했다.
