1. 개요

66회 시상식은 1994년 3월 21일 LA Dorothy Chandler Pavilion에서 개최되었고 Whoopi Goldberg(우피 골드버그)가 진행했다. 스필버그의 Schindler's List (쉰들러 리스트)가 12개 최다 후보에 올라 최다 7개 부문을 수상하는데 쥬라기 공원의 3개 부문을 수상하면 스필버그 영화가 10개의 트로피를 가져간다. 스필버그 최고의 해였다. The Piano는 8개 후보에 올라 3개 부문을 수상하고, 필라델피아로 톰 행크스가 생애 첫 남우 주연상을 수상한다. 도망자로 토미 리 존스가 생애 첫 남우조연상을 수상한다.
