2004년 제76회 아카데미 시상식 (76th Academy Awards, OSCAR)

1. 개요

76회 시상식은 2004년 2월 29일 LA Kodak Theatre에서 개최되었고 Billy Crystal(빌리 크리스탈)이 진행했다. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King(반지의 제왕 왕의 귀환)이 11개 후보에 올라 11개 모두 수상해 벤허와 타이타닉과 같은 최다 수상작이 된다. Mystic River는 남우주연상(숀펜)과 남우조연상(팀로빈슨)을 모두 수상한 4번째 영화가 된다. 영화 몬스터로 샤를리즈 테론이 여우주연상을 수상했고, 콜드마운틴의 르네 젤위거가 여우조연상을 수상한다. 반지의 제왕이 독식했지만 좋은 영화도 있었던 해였다.
