1. 개요

74회 시상식은 2002년 3월 24일 LA Kodak Theatre에서 개최되었고 Whoopi Goldberg(우피 골드버그)가 진행했다. The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring(반지의 제왕)이 13개 최다 후보에 올라 4개 부문을 수상했고, A Beautiful Mind (뷰티풀 마인드)가 8개 후보에 올라 4개 상을 가져간다. Black Hawk Down과 Moulin Rouge!이 각 2개의 상을 가져갔다. 나머지 영화들이 1개씩 골고루 수상했다.
