1. 개요

54회 시상식은 1982년 3월 29일 LA Dorothy Chandler Pavilion에서 개최되었고 Johnny Carson이 4년 연속 진행을 맡았다. 영국 영화 Chariots of Fire(불의전차)가 작품상을 수상했고, 워렌 비티(Warren Beatty)가 감독상을 수상하고 헨리 폰다가 76세로 생애 첫 남우주연상을 수상했다. 명배우 캐서린 햅번이 여우주연상을 수상했는데 통산 4번째 트로피였다. Reds는 최다 12개 부문후보로 3개 부문을 수상했고, 불의전차(Chariots of Fire)와 Raiders of the Lost Ark (인디아나존스2)가 각 4개 부문 최다 수상작이 된다. 코미디 영화 Arthur가 2개 부문을 수상했다.
